Joint pen name of Takashi Shimada and Yoshinori
Nakai. In 1978, “Kinnikuman” was selected as a runner-up for the 9th Akatsuka
Award, and was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump at the age of 18 until 1987, and became
a social phenomenon with its aggressive multimedia development including
animation, movies, goods, and games. At the age of 25, he became a hit, ranking first and
second in the manga category of the “Long List”. He won the 30th
ShogakukanMangaGrand Prize. His representative works include “Kinnikuman” and its
sequel “Kinnikuman II” and “Ramen Man ”.
